Kurs Statistics

The Statistics course has been designed for those students of the WSB Academy who are beginning to learn this subject as well as for those who want to broaden their already existing knowledge. Participation in the course allows you to understand the idea of statistics. It is the theory and practice of statistics. It contains the content, all necessary formulas and examples of application. The exercises, which consist of sets of tasks to be solved on your own, together with answers, allow you to practice the practical application of the learned statistical methods.

• able to apply general knowledge about the subject of statistics and its importance in describing social and economic phenomena,
• able to apply in practice methods of descriptive statistics, dependence and regression analysis and dynamics analysis and their application in the analysis of selected social and economic problems as well as concepts related to probability calculation and their relation to real processes,
• able to apply in practice methods and techniques of descriptive and graphical presentation of results of simple statistical analyses,
• able to identify and interpret social and economic phenomena and processes together with their conditions and characterize parameters of social and economic processes,
• able to apply the idea of statistical inference and statistical tests in the description of selected social and economic phenomena,
• able to use an Excel spreadsheet to perform the research,
• able to prepare a synthetic descriptive and visual study of the results of the conducted research,
• able to use various sources of knowledge, select available information and use it to solve research problems,
• able to formulate research hypotheses and use appropriate statistical tools to solve them,
• able to present the results of the performed analyses in a synthetic way both in a descriptive and graphic manner,
• seeking additional literature and expert knowledge in case of difficulties in solving research problems on their own.

NAVOICA to ogólnopolska platforma edukacyjna oferująca bezpłatne kursy online typu MOOC (ang. Massive Open Online Courses) realizowane przez uczelnie i instytucje edukacyjne. Dzięki platformie, dostępnej pod adresem navioca.pl, docieramy do każdego, kto chce się uczyć bez względu na wiek i miejsce zamieszkania. 

NAVOICA powstała w ramach projektu pn. „Polski MOOC”, realizowanego na zlecenie Ministerstwa Edukacji i Nauki. Ośrodek Przetwarzania Informacji – Państwowy Instytut Badawczy stworzył i stale rozwija platformę pod względem technologicznym. Operatorem merytorycznym do 15 lipca 2020 była Fundacja Młodej Nauki. Konferencja Rektorów Akademickich Szkół Polskich wspiera zaś tę inicjatywę instytucjonalnie. Projekt „Polski MOOC” ma charakter niekomercyjny.
